What we've been eating!

Mmmmmm! So mommy gave us some ribs to eat! Yeah, our first real food! We really like corn on the cobb too! Darion helped mommy dig potatoes out of the garden and thought he'd try and eat some dirt.

Sooooo far behind!

I know lots of you keep looking in on my blog and it's just not ever updated. Very sorry. Just like most of you my summer has been really busy and having twins doesn't make it any less.
Just a quick overview of our summer.....In july we went camping in Kenora for a week with James and Andrea and Mike and Tina and all of our kids. We had a BLAST!!! We are already talking about going back next year. We did lots of boating and water sports, Kris and I both learned how to wakeboeard and Kyra went tubing a few times. We tried fishing but caught nothing. One of the days the boys went golfing and a different day us girls went into town shopping. We ate and ate and ate! The boys were really well behaved and slept well. They loved the beach but just wanted to eat the sand all the time. Can't wait for next year!
The first two weeks of July Kyra had swimming lessons. She is such a little fish. She passed her seaturtle level and even completed half of the next level. (sunfish) She had fun jumping off the diving board and going down the big slide.
At the end of July Kris started harvest. The winter wheat came off fast and did well.
We enjoyed some of the sunflower festival. Kyra took in some of the rides but we didn't stay too long because of the hot hot weather.
Last weekend we were at the harvest festival in Winkler. Kris and I played ball all day saturday. We had 4 games in one day!! In the eveing I took Kyra back to enjoy the midway. Kris stayed home and put the boys to bed. Kyra and I only got home at midnight! Sunday was too early and I was very sore! It's been a while since i've used muscles other than my arms to carry my boys.
Sunday was also our churches 5 year anniversery and we had a picnic in the park. Kyra had her face painted like a rabbit and went slip and sliding. She had fun.
And I......well I got to enjoy a somewhat quiet evening with my mom. We went to the Josh Groban concert in winnipeg and enjoyed a great supper at pasta la vista. It was a GREAT concert and I had a good time with my mom. It's been a while.
So haveing said all that (i'm sure i've forgotten to add some of our summer adventures) i'll leave you with some pics........

So i am almost always behind in laundry, but the boys like to help me which makes things a bit easier, well they like to sit on the dryer anyway.

When my boys grow up they'll look back at some childhood pictures and wonder what I was thinking letting their big sister dress them up. I think it's kinda cute. Princess B.

Clowning around

Way back in March Kyra had her first ballet recital. They were all clowns and very funny. The cutest class of course.

Hey everyone!! I know you're all waiting for updates. I've been really busy trying to keep up with my yard and of course my kids. Summer seems to be busier for me than winter was. Kris is busy working so I do most of my house stuff and yard work on my own. In winter kris was around to help and i must say my house was alot cleaner! oh well....The boys have been really really good! We've gone swimming a few times and the boys LOVE it. they spend about and hour at a time in the pool and then either i get cold or they get tired and it's time to pack up. It's alway a chore to get kyra out though. I planted about 150 trees this summer to replace all the fallen ones we lost from the fathers day storm two years ago. I've seemed to keep up with the mowing and tilling for the most part and even planted a few flowers. I must say i've accomplished much more than i even imagined. The boys have a really good routine and it's helped alot. Anyway, i need to dump lots of pics from my camera onto my computer and once i do i'll post some! Stay tuned! Have a great summer all!!

Slumber

Kyra loves to play with the boys, they tend to do a lot of "girly" things and sometimes end up getting dressed up. (i'll post those pics soon) Here she made them both beds and was reading them stories. She even remembers the stuffed animals.

Kyra and Olivia

Kyra loves to go to winnipeg to visit her cousin olivia and auntie des and uncle arik. the girls are having popsicles for a snack and watching elmo. they have lots of fun together and the older they get the better they get along.

Fairy

I love this little dress up outfit. Kyra got this as a birthday present from auntie wanda and uncle larry and chantelle, tyson and donovan. she loves to dress up and is such a princess.

Boys

Braison loves to sit in this chair, it's kyra's princess chair but i cover it with a blanket to keep kris from giving me "the look". (how do i flip thses pics???)

Darion is a really good sleeper! He sleeps anywhere. The only thing is he doesn't like to be held or rocked to sleep, just put me down. Braison on the other hand is completely different, he likes to be rocked and at the same time he fights his sleep. Good thing there is only one like that. (sorry, i can't figure out how to flip this picture)

Make-up

Kyra's very first make-up attempt, I guess she was board and got into my make-up, mascara and all...growing up way too fast, or she just has lots of her grandma's gene's????

Moose Lake

We went to kyle and melissa's cabin at
moose lake for a weekend in febuary (i think)
it was the coldest days of the winter
but we attempted
to ice fish...caught nothing. good
thing we had a nice warm
hot tub to relax in. Every morning
the deer got fed and we watched
them while we ate breakfast
The boys were good, all of them. haha Kyle and Melissa and Jason and Robin were great helps with the boys and kyra. We ate so much good food and played cards and went to bed early.

Kyra's birthday....

My sweet little angel turned 4 on January 29th.
I can't believe 4 years ago she was a tiny litte
baby that i could hold in my arms. She's becoming a
little "I can do it myself" princess. She makes me smile
all day! Soon she'll go to school and i'll wonder were all
the time went......

Kyra's a great helper!

I caught her reading this one day, I love this picture, it's sooo funny.

Kyra has been such a great help! Better than i ever imagined! she loves to hold the boys, and try to make them smile or laugh, and she likes to read them her ballarina books. she will help me with diapers and bath time and she will get me anything i ask! her favorite thing to do is pick out what they will wear for the day and if i disagree then sometimes we have a fight, i just tell myself that it's really not a big deal if they look a little silly sonmetimes, besides that though she's the best helper i could have ever asked for!

january wedding

Next came Janurary. Another wedding, actually a wedding reception....My cousin Levi and Allison got married in mexico over new years. would have loved to be there but with the boys so young it just wasn't going to happen. the reception was great. all decorated in a mexican beach theme. kyra had a blast dancing and the family aslo got to enjoy the boys. the boys were well behaved with the exception of darions big poop!! he decided to change half way through the night. and i thought that was a girl thing......

then came christmas

so then came christmas and we were busy like always. kyra was very cute at her very first christmas program. she picked us out of the crowd and waved and said hello. we all laughed. we had lots of gatherings which i enjoyed because everyone wanted to hold the boys so i got a few really nice breaks with free hands. my kids were all really well behaved even with all the overwhelming presents and all the attention. thats' all for now

9 days later.....

Kyle and melissa got married 9 days after the boys birth. it was a beautiful day, kyra was a flowergirl along with melissa's cousin bronwyn, they were so cute!! i was her maid of honor and it was an honor. everything went so well, the boys stayed at my moms while we did pictures and they all came to the wedding to see their favorite auntie iss walk down the isle. it worked out so well with nursing in between. anyway here are a few pics
